What the service covers
Pumps we replace
Circulating (circulation) pumps move the water round the heating and hot water circuits: when one fails, the boilers may still run but the building stays cold. Booster pumps raise the pressure where the supply alone is not enough. A pressurisation unit keeps a sealed heating system topped up at the right pressure, and when it fails the system loses pressure and the boilers stop. We replace all three.
Diagnosis
The engineer checks whether the pump is the cause of the problem, and whether the rest of the circuit is sound, before any part is replaced. Noise, vibration, a pump that runs hot or a system that keeps losing pressure can all point to a worn pump, but they can also come from air in the system, a stuck valve or a fault in the controls.
Replacement
We fit a pump suited to the system, matched to the flow the circuit needs, test that it circulates as it should, and explain what was done.
The plant around the pump
Where a pump is part of a plant room or a block heating system, the engineer can check the plant around it at the same visit. Pumps can also be looked after on planned visits as part of plant room maintenance, so wear is found before a pump fails.
Who it is for
Businesses, facilities managers and managing agents whose heating or hot water pumps are noisy, failing, or have stopped working.
What you get
- Diagnosis of the pump and the circuit around it
- Supply and fitting of circulating and booster pumps
